چکیده
Northern leaf blight (NLB) (Exserohilum turcicum) is the most important among disease of maize in cold and humid areas Nepal. Environmental factors, particularly temperature relative humidity, have a significant impact on development diseases. With objective to correlate weather parameters with development, experiment was conducted using three distinct varieties: Popcorn Gorkha 3 (Susceptible check), Rampur Composite (Standard Local Check), Hybrid 10 (Resistant Check). Numerous disease-related variables, including incidence percent, percent index (PDI), area under progress curve (AUDPC), number infected leaves per sample plant (IL/S), were correlated mean humidity (RH), maximum temperature, lowest temperature. The severity raised from 22.22% 88.89% Pop Corn 3, 11.54% 30.77% Composite, 3.33% 10% 10, when minimum dropped 11.2°C 6.2°C. Correlation coefficient principal component analysis showed that negatively while RH positively correlated. According determination (R2), certain meteorological factors contributed 94%–99% condition. crucial step developing management methods systematic examination correlation between variables severity.

Seven fungicides were evaluated in vitro against Exserohilum turcicum causing leaf blight of maize The treatment mancozeb 0.25% and combination treatments of carbendazim and mancozeb i.e. saff 0.25% recorded the lowest percent disease index (PDI) reducing the disease by 73.0% and 72.1% respectively. The treatment which had a combination metriram + pyraclostrobin i.e. cabriotop 0.3% was found to...

Turcicum Leaf Blight Resistance in Maize: Field Screening of New Inbreds and Hybrids
This paper presents identification of sources of Turcicum Leaf Blight (TLB) resistance in maize. Maize is affected by more than 60 diseases, of which 16 are major ones. TLB, caused by E. turcicum, is considered a serious disease where climatic conditions are cool with high relative humidity. Severe losses in grain yield ranging from 25 to 90 per cent have been reported in India. Seventy two hyb...
